During routine inspections, the status of press plates must be checked to match operational requirements, and the correctness of sampling values of protection devices shall be verified. For special inspections, it is necessary to check the accuracy of input signals of protection devices, conduct special verification of protection setting values and press plates, and sign and save the confirmation records. In daily maintenance, the correctness of sampling values of all protection and automation devices shall be inspected, and press plates shall be checked and verified on a monthly basis. These inspection and verification tasks consume a great deal of time and effort. Software System Operation Steps

1. Import SCD File

After importing the SCD file, the program parses the relevant information, automatically identifies the IED devices that require inspection and verification, and generates the station control layer network structure diagram, the whole substation optical fiber link diagram, virtual terminal diagram and SCD verification diagram.

2. Access to Station Control Layer Network

The device can access the station control layer switch to acquire the station control layer data of all protection devices in the substation, or directly collect the information of a single protection device. The corresponding IP address can be configured according to actual working conditions.

3. Setting Value/Press Plate Modeling

The verification of setting values and press plate status needs to be compared with the dispatching setting value list as the standard value, so a standard value template for setting values and press plates must be established in advance.The standard value template can be created by importing an Excel setting value list, manual input, reading the current values of protection devices as the standard template, or importing historical templates. The template will be retained even if the device is powered off or the substation is switched.

4. Start the Test

The program can perform inspection and verification on the IED devices automatically identified or manually selected by the operator. The entire inspection process is displayed in a graphical manner, which can intuitively show the current inspected device and the verification status.

5. Generate Report

Based on the inspected IED devices, the device automatically generates corresponding inspection reports and operation data, including setting value verification reports, press plate verification reports, electrical quantity information, switch quantity information, protection action information, protection alarm information and other types of reports and operation data. It also conducts centralized report management, displaying the entire inspection process, results and review status.

A 220kV smart substation is equipped with 2 main transformers, 2 sets of 220kV bus differential protection, 1 set of 220kV bus tie protection, 1 set of 220kV section protection, 4 220kV transmission lines and 10 110kV transmission lines.In the past, it took 1 to 2 days to complete the inspection and verification of all setting values and press plates in the substation, as well as the inspection of secondary information such as protection remote measurements, switch quantities, device actions and alarms.
